2 more weeks til school,,
Break has basically just whizzed by, or it does feel like it now. I guess it has been an okay break, I'm not sure what I totally got out of it. Maybe to be a bit more organized. For the first half of the break, I was just bumming around, kinda. I thought I had everything under control, that I had everything organized, when suddenly a bomb blew up in front of my face. Well not exactly, but it was a big one.
The place I was supposed to work out backed out on me, and the conditions that I had agreed to were no longer the same. So I decided to work in Seoul. Perhaps it was a good idea, perhaps not. But now here I am, I bummed around for 3 weeks. Not quite sure what I did with my time, but, well we did have a little girls' practice, which went for about 4 days. Then, I started work. Work at the same place, teaching English, pretty much the same as I had before. It was great coming back here, I knew a lot of the kids, and to see how they had changed and grown up was pretty exciting. But it wasn't easy. Having a reponsibility sure is different. I had to force myself to go to bed early so I could wake up early, it is part of the responsibility you know. I guess the weekend of the festival was the worst. There was an a cappella festival that our group was going to participate in, and it was on a Saturday. We needed to meet up and practice, but I had work - all through til Saturday. So I had no choice but to go back and forth. Friday night, after we finished working, I got on a bus and went to Choonchun. Which is about 2 hours away, and arrived there at about 10 o'clock. Then when we all got there, we practiced til about 1:30 in the morning, I think,, and then we went to bed. The next morning, I got up at 5 am, we all set our alarms so that I could wake up, haha because if I didn't wake up, I would be in real big trouble. I got up and left, took the bus, 2 hours, and then got on the subway for an hour to get to the academy by 9 o'clock. As soon as I got done with the academy on Saturday, 1:00, I hopped on the subway again, back to the bus station, and back to Choonchun. As soon as I got back, we started practicing again, and then went on stage at 7 pm.
I guess compared to the amount of practice that we did manage to fit in, it wasn't too bad, and actually we did pretty good, God was good to us.. we couldn't have just done it on our own, well I know I couldn't have done it on my own.
But nevertheless, we still could've done better, if our circumstances had allowed it. I guess I shouldn't have regrets, but it's hard.
I've got one more semester til I am halfway done through college, and man, does it go by fast,,,I am seriously in the 4th gear.,, speeding,,
